Okay, I guess I should really say…mainly Kasey (+ train). Last month we headed to Suiten-gu Shrine in Ningyocho about a week after Shichi-go-san to take a few pictures of Kasey and his family to commemorate the big 5 for Kasey with some family portraits. Kasey had his official Shichi-go-san shrine visit the weekend before, but luckily Kasey was up for another visit! Woo-hoo! Happy 5th Kasey!

A TENTH REINDEER? YEP. That’s right. The youngest and, by far, the cutest of Santa’s hip, young, group of elite reindeer…
I had the pleasure of shooting Mateo & family last month for a Christmas/ Holiday inspired family portrait session. Mateo totally rocked his reindeer antlers…occasionally he looked more like an angry bull charging during our session which was equally adorable & inspired on his part. Anyway, Merry X-mas & Happy New Year!

A few from a family portrait shoot from last month with the Tami, Erik & family at Zojoji. Besides being a super fun and down-to-earth family, Kjerstin was a a ball of energy! She cracked me up with her (imaginary…shh!) friends, “elephant” and “blue/purple dog”,…they kindly stepped out of the frame for these family shots…

Had the opportunity to check out fur fur 2011 fall collection at JFW last night on a little fashion/runway photo-taking assignment from the lovely Kate Black of Magnifeco . LOOOOVVVED the hair/flowers…right up my alley! Tons of fairy dust, flowers, ruffles and a little smokey haze gave the clothes a definite ethereal look. Just a few of my favorites…

A couple of images from a maternity shoot this weekend with an adorable couple. Alycia is due in less than 3 weeks so we just made it for this maternity shoot! We captured some great images of the happy parents-to-be, Alycia & Greg. Alycia opted to do a belly boudoir shoot (which, as you know, is my speciality) for the second half of her shoot. We got some great images there too (…of course those images will remain for their eyes only).
Looking forward to meeting their newest addition!

Just wanted to quickly post some pics I did this week for local favorite cupcake vendor, Bella’s Cupcakes. LOVE the wedding cupcakes! What a great wedding cake alternative for unconventional brides and grooms! (Not to toot my own unconventional horn, but my hubby and I also served carrot cake cupcakes at our wedding soirée…so, I guess, I’m a little enamored with happy pretty cupcakes.) Bella’s does a great job with a beautiful simple presentation and awesome flavors. I love photographing weddings and I’m looking forward to seeing these pretty wedding cupcakes in action!

She’s truly an international girl, soon to be splitting her time between London & Tokyo, with a fashion taste to match it. Check out those studded heels, woo-whee! (Yes, I’m referencing a very old 5th Dimension song…I really shouldn’t know about it **because I’m wwwaaayyy too young to know about it**, but my parents had it on vinyl, before “vinyl” was cool…)
Christina was back in town this week from NYC and contacted me with a special request…She was looking for some lifestyle portraits and some leg/shoe shots of some uber-comfortable shoes her friend designed. Balloons seemed in order for our shoot and we found an awesome neighborhood Dr. Seuss-esque house. Christina was lovely despite the heat and stifling humidity. Great job Christina!

Okay…here it is…the big unveil. I ran down to pick up a few carrot cake cupcakes, which are Tony’s favorite (Tony even choose carrot cake cupcakes as his groom’s cake for our wedding day). Tony looooves a meaningful gift… so I had to pull out my scissors & glue… Of course, I couldn’t not document the event with a couple of photos…much to my husband’s annoyance. But, anyway, he loved his gifts!
